CNC Machinist – Lathe/Turning

Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is currently seeking a Full Time CNC Turning/Lathe Machinist with 2+ years of experience to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department, Prototyping and Development Division, Industrial Services Enterprise (ISE). Hours to be worked are 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a possibility of over time when available.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to learn how to set up, operate, and perform required periodic maintenance of HAAS Lathe Machining Centers; specifically, HAAS SL40, SL30, ST30SSY and TL 1.
  • Must have some knowledge in analyzing and editing G Code programs and canned cycles.
  • Must collaborate with and take direction from SRM Program Manager, as well as Engineering and Technical Lead personnel and promote a “team player” work environment.
  • Must accurately assess assigned tasks and provide feedback to Technical Leads when necessary.
  • Must perform First Piece Inspection of all assigned tasks and guarantee produced parts are in full compliance with provided engineering drawings.
  • Must be able to deburr and clean all manufactured parts using hand files, pneumatic tooling, and various abrasives.
  • Must be able to support and move large, heavy materials, such as Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, and various Plastics.
  • Must maintain a clean, safe work area, as well as maintain organization of assigned tools at all machining workstations.
  • Must possess strong set-up skills involving complex work holding applications.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate machinery such as: Bridgeport machining centers, Horizontal Milling Machines, Band Saws, Cut-off Saws, Drill Presses, Belt Sanders, Media Blasters, Surface Grinders, Tool Grinders, and other assorted power tools to perform a variety of tasks on various materials; tasks include:
    • Tapping
    • Surface, cylindrical, and universal grinding
    • Drilling, reaming, and honing
    • Cut-off sawing

Qualifications:

  • High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate or graduate of U.S. Navy “A” school, apprentice school or technical school.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Configuration Management Specialist

Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is seeking a highly qualified individual to support a Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) client on site at NUWCDIVNPT.

Duties include:

  • Support customer in any tasks required, including:
  • Reviewing technical documentation for accuracy and compliance in accordance with existing checklists
  • Generating new Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDERs) against existing technical manuals, as required.
  • Support management of existing TMDERs as required, including ensuring TMDERs are properly incorporated into technical manuals, as well as recommending TMDERs for closure
  • Investigation of issues with existing technical manuals as reported from Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Fleet Support Team, and Installation Team, including both desktop reviews and/or lab validation, as necessary.
  • Support TDA in management of master schedule for all upcoming releases for technical manuals.
    • Participate in ILS TDA meetings as required, including Weekly TMDER Evaluation Meeting, Weekly Status Meeting, and Weekly ILS Team Meeting.
  • Positively interface with Source Providers to ensure source is being provided on time in accordance with the master schedule.
  • Participation in Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), and RRM reviews for Modernization prior to initial Rev 0 release.
  • Ensuring key milestones for each delivery are met, in accordance with master schedule. Work with IETM Development Team (IDT) and TDA to ensure milestones are receiving proper support and are being met.
  • Participating in Validation and Verification of procedures in the lab, along with the Integration Team including tracking of applicable redlines.
  • Completion of lab request forms, and scheduling of lab time for required ILS reviews and validation/verification events.

Skills:

  • Work positively in a team environment and take direction from team leads
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner to support upcoming technical manual releases
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with Technical Manual Development efforts, preferably S1000D IETMs.

Financial Management Analyst

Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is currently seeking a Financial/Management Analyst to support a client at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). Founded in 1979, SRM is a Department of Defense (DoD) contracting company that provides a wide range of services to the United States Navy. We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated candidate to join our team in the Rhode Island area.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial and program management support services to NUWCDIVNPT.
  • Track cumulative monthly/yearly expenditures charged to various NUWCDIVNPT projects.
  • Maintain quality assurance; ensure that appropriate financial entries have been made for Government/contractor costs.
  • Utilize the Navy – Enterprise Resource Planning (N–ERP) system to monitor project finances; research and assign N–ERP Network Activity (NWA) numbers, as required.

Financial Analyst II

Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is currently seeking a Financial Analyst II to support the day-to-day operations at the SRM Corporate Office. This resource will provide direct support to the SRM President, Controller and task order program managers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review federal government market surveys, requests for information and invitations for bid, pre-solicitations, and solicitations, and make bid/no-bid recommendations to company management.
  • Review and analyze solicitation instructions, clauses, conditions, and notices, and provide input, including the FAR, DFAR, etc.
  • Assist the SRM program management team in managing and monitoring various task order funding and expenditures.
  • Prepare task order financial projections for internal SRM accounting purposes.
  • Ability to manage revision control of business-sensitive documents.
  • Correspond with SRM employees; respond to inquiries regarding task order financial requirements.
  • Track and report cumulative bi-weekly and yearly expenditures charged to various government task orders and multiple lines of accounting.
  • Project funding requirements for new task order periods of performance.
  • Prepare various financial reports and funding projections, including updating the SRM President, Senior Technical Representatives and Task Order Program Managers on the status of task order funding.

Skills/Qualifications:

Management Analyst III

Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is currently seeking a Management Analyst III to support a client at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide program management support services to NUWCDIVNPT.
  • Perform technical reviews and analyze project requirements, schedules, and execution plans to identify problem areas and provide recommendations to resolve program issues.
  • Draft, edit, revise, coordinate and compile documentation including; speeches, technical papers and presentations, biographies; training information; and instructional guides.
  • Provide support for meetings to include meeting coordination, development of agendas, action items, and presentation materials.
  • Attend meetings for the purpose of capturing action items, generating meeting minutes, and to collect and compile information to support Sponsor meetings and reviews.
  • Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, or expenditures. Interview managers and employees while observing their operations. Develop solutions to problems. While preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
  • Report findings and recommendations to the Government usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in a business or technical field
  • 10 or more years experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.
